A hidden camera found by a female UPS employee in an employee restroom has sparked a police investigation. A spokesperson for the western Pennsylvania UPS service facility has stated that the person responsible for placement of the hidden mobile camera was identified and terminated. It is not known how many women were recorded as the police continue to investigate.
Unfortunately, this type of incident is more common than one could imagine. Our technicians perform profession electronic bug sweeps on a regular basis at commercial establishments to ensure that there are no hidden video cameras in any of the employee or customer bathrooms. The only way to truly know if there are any hidden cameras or recording devices present is to secure the services of a professional bug sweep team.
Just because a person or agency promotes bug sweeps on their website it doesn’t mean they either have the right equipment, training or experience. Most professional TSCM technicians use more than $150,000 worth of sophisticated electronic bug detection equipment. That’s why you need to know what questions to ask to identify true professional TSCM technicians and weed out private investigators with spy shop gear.
